birdhouse snow

Let it snow, Let it snow, Let it snow!  It’s beautiful, isn’t it? Now if we could all stay home and enjoy it…

As this column is titled “Birds and Bee’s” I should write something about them.   Well, the bee’s are all gone for the year.  So, this is for the birds.........

String some  popcorn (unsalted) or cranberries and decorate the trees or fences with them.  The birds will love you for them and do their best to entertain you and your kids.

This last year has been a taxing year for me and maybe for some of you. If you have ever lost a loved one, you know how much you miss them.  They are especially on our minds during the Holidays.  Christmas is meant for family to be together, and if one is missing there is a big void.  The best way to fill it is with lots of
Family and friends.  It helps a lot.  I’m blessed with both.  I thank GOD I live in Meadow Lakes, where you’re friends are like family.

My salvation has been the Community Council, not the entity itself but the people I have met and learned to care for.  They are not only my friends but almost like family.  In my time of need they have been there for me.  I don’t think I could have survived living this far out without them. The people in this community represent some of the very best in the great state of Alaska.

My #1 resolution is to be as good a neighbor and friend as my neighbors and friends have been for me.  That is a huge undertaking.  Thank you from the bottom of my heart.  I love you all and have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
