What are the best future uses?
Thursday, April 16, 2009

John Duffy, Mat-Su Borough Manager attended the MLCC General Membership meeting and asked for the communities input regarding Borough-owned parcels of land within the MLCC area and what would be the best designation for those parcels.  There are few (if not just a couple) such parcels and it is highly likely that there are better uses than gravel extraction for them.  The community will need to discuss the best way to classify those for future use (i.e., Schools, recreation, Fire Hall, etc.).  Once the MLCC General Membership has settled on the best uses, it can forward a request to the Assembly and Planning Commission to so-designate those lands.Read more
